Before he was a promoter, Jimmy Burchfield Sr. ran a restaurant in North Providence where Muhammad Ali and Sugar Ray Leonard pulled up chairs. He was a boxer himself, a cornerman, a referee, a judge. When he launched CES in 1992, he put everything on the line — and never looked back. His word is his bond. His handshake seals the deal.
34 years later, he's still at it — the hardest working promoter in boxing. From those smoky Rhode Island halls to nationally televised cards and sold-out casinos at Mohegan Sun and Foxwoods, CES has been the proving ground where raw talent meets real opportunity. To Jimmy, his fighters are family.
